You can easily back up your contacts from a lost or broken phone or you can transfer your contacts to your new iPhone. Using iTunes
The contacts from an iPhone will back up default by iTunes, if you have disabled it. Steps to be followed for back up process are:
- Download and install iTunes software on your desktop.

Using iCloud

- Log in with your Apple ID. If you don’t have an ID, “create a new Apple ID” and follow the prompts.
- Click “contacts” slider ON. This will backup all of your iPhone contacts from contacts app to your iCloud storage.
- Tap on “Storage & Backup” by scrolling down.
