To delete account permanently from popular social networking websites like Gmail, Facebook, Google+, Twitter, LinkedIn etc, all you have to do is follow the below steps.

Gmail                  

It’s common now many people using Gmail account. If you are willing to delete your Gmail account, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to Gmail, click on your profile picture and click on My Account.
  2. Go to Account Preferences and scroll down to Delete your account or services.
  3. Here you will see two links 1) Delete Products 2) Delete Google Account and Data.
  4. If you are decisive to remove your Gmail account, click on the Delete Google Account and Data. It asks your password to enter the page. Enter your password and click on sign in.
  5. If you want to back up your data click on download your data or else click on the two check boxes and then click on Delete Account.

 Facebook

It is very difficult to delete your account in Facebook. You will not find the option to delete your account permanently. You can go to Facebook’s help center to get that option or here are the steps you need to follow to delete or deactivate your account.

  1. Log in to Facebook and go to settings page.
  2. Click on the Security tab and click on the Edit button of Deactivate your account.
  3. Then there is a down drop message with Deactivate your account option, click on that then you have a page with reason for leaving. Check your reason and click on Deactivate. (or)

You will see a pop up window where you will have to enter your password with a security check question with text or audio and click on okay. Facebook will give you a chance to reactivate your account anytime in the next two weeks.

 Twitter

If you want to quit away from the regular tweets of your Twitter account, follow these steps to remove your account:

  1. Log in to Twitter and click on the twitter settings page.
  2. Scroll down to bottom and there you will find a link Deactivate my account below the save changes button.
  3. Click on the link Deactivate my account and a page will open with Deactivate @your name. This will deactivate your Twitter account. Twitter will permanently remove your account after 30 days.

LinkedIn

  1. Log in to LinkedIn account and go to privacy and settings page.
