Blackjack is a deceptively easy game to play. Doubling Splitting and Insurance

If your hand has a total value of 9, 10 or 11 you can “double down.” At that point your bet is doubled and you’ll receive one more card. At that point you stand and wait to see what the dealer’s card does. If your two initial cards are identical you can split and add a second wager as you play 2 hands against the dealer. Each hand is played separately so you might win both, win one or lose both.

You can take out Insurance which involves a side bet that you place and “insures” you against the possibility of a Dealer Blackjack. If you don’t have Blackjack on your opening hand and the dealer’s first card is an Ace you can add the Insurance bet which is half of your original bet.

Atlantic City Blackjack
